Tickled Pink

ASDA’s Tickled Pink campaign raises awareness and much needed funds for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign.

Since 1997 ASDA colleagues and customers have raised a phenomenal £19 million through fundraising and our range of Tickled Pink products, which has helped the charity make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of people diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Tommy’s

As a supporter of Tommy’s Parent Friendly Awards, we are proud to hold the title of Best Supermarket 2008. The charity exists to give premature babies the best chance of being born healthy, by funding research and raising awareness — ensuring every mum and dad experiences the joy of having a healthy child.

We also realise how important it is to support young families, which is why we not only raise funds through sales of our Peppa Pig pin badge, but also do our best to make the shopping experience as easy for families as possible.

Local charities

All our stores and depots raise money to support local charities and community organisations through a whole range of events such as in-store fun days, raffles and tombolas.

Our stores also act as collection points for local charities, with an average of two charity collections and two bag packing sessions per month in every store. Incredibly, thanks to events like this and the dedication of our colleagues, we raised more than £3 million in 2007.

Our colleagues also play an active part in the communities where they live and work. In 2007 they volunteered 75,000 hours of their time, working with groups and individuals around the UK–from local schools, and air ambulance teams, to local hospitals and hospices, to name just a few.
